Welsh food and drink companies will be joining their European counterparts in Amsterdam next week (May 22-23) at specialist trade event.
Held at the RAI Exhibition Centre near the Dutch capital, PLMA (Private Label Manufacturers Association) is a dedicated event for food and drink companies and high quality retail buyers looking to source new products for own label brands.
PLMA’s 2007 “World of Private Label” international trade show will consist of more than 3,000 exhibit stands including more than 30 national and regional pavilions. Products on display will include fresh, frozen and refrigerated foods, dry grocery, and beverages as well as non-food categories.
Organised by International Business Wales on behalf of the Food and Market Development Division within the Welsh Assembly Government, Welsh companies showing their products and services to the food and drink sector include, Abergavenny Fine Foods, Drink Pac Ltd, FE International , and Halo Foods Ltd.
Flintshire based Drink Pac Ltd, which packages branded products for a range of customers as well as producing its own name products will be showing a selection of goods including milk products, soya, juice, speciality products, pet drinks and wine.
While Halo Foods Ltd from Tywyn which makes snack bars will focus on its range of ‘simple, natural, snacks’.
Producers of microwave rice, past and noodles, FE International from Swansea, will also be showing its couscous and sauces.
Also in Amsterdam will be Abergavenny Fine Foods producers of speciality dairy products and cheese based convenience foods.
