Full article

Shoppers looking to stock up for Christmas will be in for a treat as a host of Welsh food

takes to the small screen next week (November 19) in a special show on UK TV shopping

channel QVC, marking the first anniversary of its True Taste of Wales Show.

It is a year since the first True Taste of Wales show aired on QVC, and participating

companies have been delighted with the response from viewers who have eagerly tuned in to

the three previous shows dedicated to Welsh food.

Seven Welsh companies: Welsh Farm Organics, Clams Cakes, Castle Chocolates, Siwgr a Sbeis,

Cheeses From Wales, Harvies Pies and The Patchwork Traditional Food Company, will be

featured in the live hour long show which will air at 5pm.

Accompanying the QVC host will be food consultant, writer and broadcaster Angela Gray, who

will showcase the delicious range of products from meat and cakes to chocolates and cheese.

Castle Chocolates from Caerphilly will be making its debut on the True Taste of Wales Show

with its luxury bumper box of chocolates, while The Patchwork Traditional Food Company from

Ruthin will appear as part of the show for the first time with a range of savoury and sweet

dishes.

QVC viewers will also see footage of the Welsh companies in action at the BBC Good Food Show

at London’s Olympia, which will be filmed on Friday (November 16).

On the opening day of the show, QVC presenter Dale Franklin will meet with producers and

customers, footage from which will be incorporated in the special ‘True Taste of Wales’ show

which will be aired on QVC at 5pm on Monday, 19 November.

Companies taking part in the filming include: Rhug Estate, Swigr a Sbeis, Cheeses From

Wales, Castle Chocolates, Clam’s Cakes Harvies Pies, The Patchwork Traditional Food Company,
